Weather was perfect on the Saturday morning, and the forecast was for similar weather all weekend. Great to finally have a racing weekend free of wet weather. The racing schedule for the weekend was as follows: Saturday, 2 official practice sessions, Qualifying, Heat 1 and 2. Sunday, warm up session, Heat 3, pre Final and Final. Official practice, Lochie went well finishing 4th fastest, which we thought was very good, given the class field of international drivers. Qualifying was next, a five minute timed session. Lochie let the all the karts go out of the pits before him, so as to ensure a clean lap. As qualifying was only 5 minutes, it meant Lochie would only get 4 timed laps. On lap 2


Lochie woke up on Saturday morning to see the weather in Florida had turned miserable. It was pouring with rain. This would make driving conditions very difficult for 34 Tag Cadet drivers from around the world. First up qualifying.....we had full wet set up on the kart, under very challenging cold, wet conditions, Lochie managed to post the fourth quickest time, which was a great achievement. Heat 1 was also held in pouring rain, with Lochie starting fourth on the grid. Lochie got a great start, into the first corner he was in second position. Coming into the second corner the leader hit a massive puddle and spun off, putting Lochie in the lead. Lochie then drove superbly, driving aw


Finally the day has come all packed and off to Italy this morning to race against some amazing competitor's over the next few weeks, looking forward to practicing the Italian language i have been learning for the past 6 weeks as well.I will keep u updated as i go...
